It has an automatic shut off feature in case the detector is left on, and laid down for a period over 2 minutes, thus increasing the battery life. The PD140 Hand Held Gold Metal Detector is very durable, as there are no wires to break off inside the detector. The PD140 is made on a four layer Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and all coils are built into the PCB thus assuring total reliability and quality.
